The San Francisco Business Times reports California’s cash coming in below guesses

California’s controller said the state’s general fund revenue in August was $237 million below estimates made in the 2009-2010 budget.
That’s 3.6 percent lower than estimates in the recently amended budget act, said John Chiang in his office’s monthly report.
